STAFF FAQ

We know you know. But there’s always one or two questions that you’re probably wondering about.

FAQS

Where do staff stay?

Staff stay free-of-charge in our cabins alongside other staff. Counselors and co-counselors typically share a three-person room, and non-counseling staff may be placed in a larger cabin or smaller cabins depending on the amount of time they’ve worked at camp.

How long do I work?

Staff get to experience an amazing 8 weeks if they stay the full time at camp! If staff can not stay the full 8 weeks, we are able to accomodate for their needs.

What responsibilities do staff have?

While staff might have a primary responsibility such as counseling or activities, this does not mean that is all they do. Staff take on many smaller roles including cleaning facilities, running AV, and being ready for any emergencies that come ICC’s way. In the case that ICC has a role to fill, there is a possibility that a staff’s may take on a new role such as becoming a co-counselor or switching activities.

Do we get breaks?

Don’t worry, staff get rest just like the campers. Depending on your primary role, your breaks might look different than others, but staff typically get off or 2 activity periods each day (excluding smaller random breaks throughout the day). Staff are assigned one break day per week typically during weekdays.
