This is Abigail Anderson’s first summer working at camp, but she has attended Indian Creek Camp as a family camper since she was eight. She is beyond excited to be at camp all summer working as a Girls Counselor and Sports Instructor. Abigail looks forward to helping kids make meaningful, priceless memories like she made while she was a camper at Indian Creek Camp.
While in high school, Abigail enjoyed playing volleyball and being a part of the 2016 State Championship varsity team. She says that one of the best parts of volleyball is being able to share it with others, especially kids!! Along with sports, Abigail also loves spending time out in nature, which often includes riding her horse Trace. Above all, she feels passionate about sharing God’s love with others, so she looks forward to a summer full of worship and praise to our Creator.
Abigail will be a freshman at Samford University this year, and is still deciding on a major. Right now, she is planning on majoring in Communications or Psychology and looks forward to a future where she can help and influence others in a positive and Christ-like manner. Abigail chooses to lean on God through all these decisions, so she holds Philippians 4:6,7 dear to her heart. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
