Becki Louden is looking forward to working at camp for her first year as the ICC Kitchen Director. Starting early Becki received experience in restaurant service, hospital cafeteria service and banquet service at Opryland Hotel and the Nashville Convention center. Becki is amazed at where the Lord has lead her from those early positions in her life. She received a Bachelor Degree in Nutrition and Food Science in 1999 at Middle Tennessee State University. In college, she joined the Army Reserve and served 14 years active reserves with one deployment to Iraq in 2008-2009. She is a member of the inactive reserves until 2032. Upon returning home from deployment she worked as a nutrition counselor at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic.

 

In 2011 Becki returned to MTSU. and received her education endorsement to teach Family and Consumer Sciences and Food Service Management. In 2013 she started teaching 10th – 12th grade Culinary Arts at Coffee County Central High School in Manchester, TN. She has taught for three years. She loves her job and has a diner in her classroom called Raider Diner. She enjoys working with her students as a team to cater events at school. Also, an incredibly rewarding experience for Becki is being a faculty advisor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Club  and Family Community and Career Leaders of America Club at CCCHS.

 

Becki loves to run and play sports. Her favorite food is broccoli and bean curd. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:31. She enjoys running with her son Micah. They have completed many race events together. Becki has been married for 20 years to her best friend Perry Louden who is also a teacher and a retired veteran from the Army Reserves. They have 4 children, Hannah, Micah, Alex, and Tayler with one fun-loving son-in-law Jimi and sweet grandson Bronson with another grandchild on the way.
